About Us
Excellent Thursday is our annual Easter tradition — a long lunch the day before Good Friday where Melbourne's community comes together to slow down, reconnect, and give back. Started by a small group of colleagues, it's grown into something much bigger: a chance to celebrate the Easter spirit while raising 100% of funds for a local charity we champion each year.

What began as a group of Melbourne coworkers sharing a long lunch before Easter has become a cherished tradition — one built on old-fashioned values, good food, and genuine connection.

Easter is about more than chocolate. It's about coming together and thinking of others — especially those who may not be able to enjoy the holiday without a helping hand.

We all forget to slow down. Excellent Thursday is a reminder to pause, appreciate, and shine a light on the incredible work that charities, their staff, and volunteers do every day.

2026 Charity in the Spotlight
Klim Foundation
Founded by Olympic gold medallist Michael Klim, the Klim Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of CIDP — a rare neurological disorder that attacks the body's nerve fibres, affecting thousands of Australians. With no known cure and little awareness, the Foundation provides vital support for sufferers, their families, and the health professionals caring for them.
This Easter, every dollar raised at Excellent Thursday goes directly to their cause.
